WALLEYE HATCHERY

The Lac Vieux Desert Lake Association, Inc., is committed to ensuring the health of our Walleye populations and through a partnership between the Lac Vieux Desert Tribe and the Wisconsin DNR we have been successful in our efforts. Started in 2015, we’ve been collecting spawn and raising them in our mobile hatchery. This year we collected an estimated 5 MILLION eggs which were distributed between our hatchery and the Lac Vieux Desert's Tribe's hatchery. Since opening we have released over 4,470,000 Walleye fry into the lake. None of this would be possible without our volunteers and generous donations from people like you.
